So is it the right time to invest in a camera with DSLR? Well you might be suprised. So it’s important that you answer a couple of questions, about what is DSLR and what is the difference in the quality if you purchase a cheap or expensive DSLR Camera. Also what is it about a DSLR what you need or want? There are plenty of factors that will help you to determine whether a DSLR is what you need, but at least consumers now have plenty of choices when it comes to digital photography equipment, which they didn’t have in the past.

There are positive and negatives with all subjects in life, and the same applies to DSLR cameras and normal cameras, but the main difference between DSLR and a fixed lens camera, is the trade off between convenience and quality. That said, the gap is definitely narrowing between these cameras with differences in features that could play a role in the decision you make. The main quality with DSLR cameras is they allow you to capture better high quality pictures and allot more flexiblity, but of course there is a cost that comes with these, and it is that they are allot bulkier.

The DSLR camera come from the old school SLR film cameras. SLR means single lens reflex, which means there is one lens for the camera use to view the picture using the viewfinder and also for taking the picture.

If you plan to use a DSLR camera then the view finder is optical. One advantage is when you look through the viewfinder what you see is exactly what you will get. The way this works is the camera has a mirror and reflects the light to the veiwfinder and then exposes the digital sensor.

All DSLR camera will normally have allot bigger image sensor then the normal cmaera you buy everyday. This is why they are so much better and give a better shot then normal. The larger the sensor the more light that it can capture, and therefore the better the quality of the picture.

To accommodate this, the SLR camera allows you to exchange lenses, so that you can easily attach the correct lens for the conditions you are shooting under. Normally photographers will bring a lens kit with them, this allows them to stay ontop of the mainly different situations that they wheather can throw at them. A wide angle lens is good for landscapes, while a telephoto lens will help you get those good quality portrait pictures

There is a tendency by camera owners to accumulate far more lenses than are needed. Everyday there are more and more lens coming out and if your really wants you could try purchase them all but you would be there forever. if your looking at purchasing a DSLR camera then you cost is going to be higher just because it’s really a camera system you need thoses other lens, compared to a normal digicam camera.

The DSLR camera provides you with a great deal of flexibility in your picture taking because you have greater control over shutter speed, aperture, and exposure, as well as the choice in lenses. This of course is allot better then a normal camera and as a photographer you need a DSLR camera.

You’ll need to decide what’s best for you - do you want to stick with your fixed lens digicam or switch to a DSLR system depending on the type of photography you want to take. I poured a translucent liquid into a glass backlit with a 19 inch softbox at 420 frames per second. I then performed minor contrast and color adjustments in Premiere Pro CS5. All settings were manually set; I would not rely on the automatic settings for situations similar to this. It performs very well for web video at high frames per second when there is plenty of light at low ISOs.
